It’s a boring night, and I haven’t done anything remotely productive today. The holidays started over two weeks ago, and honestly, I’ve done almost nothing with them—aside from starting a Minecraft server and spending most of my time playing.
Whenever I try to start something meaningful, I lose motivation quickly. I end up procrastinating and jumping to something else. It’s like what BigBoxSWE called “Shiny New Object Syndrome”: the moment I see a new tech or a YouTuber drops a new video, I feel like I have to switch and explore that instead. It’s exhausting and weirdly addictive.
Now that I’ve written it out, I think I know a way forward:
I’m going to start simple—with a to-do list of things I want to get done by the end of each day. Nothing fancy. Just focus and structure. I’ll also try limiting the time I spend on each task to keep my mind from drifting.
It’s not a perfect fix, but it’s a start.
